TERMS & CONDITIONS
All entrants must be over the age of 18 (eighteen) and a UK resident. Employees of the promoter MDS Ltd (on behalf of the Kenya Tourist Board) and all prize providers their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion, and their families, are excluded from entering this competition. Prize winners must travel together. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participants must complete the competition entry form to be valid for entry.
Competition commences midday Wednesday September 15th 2010 and closes midday on the Tuesday 30th November 2010. The prize will be drawn and winners notified by Tuesday 14th December 2010 and must be booked by 7th December 2011.
Main Prize
This main prize is being provided by the Kenya Tourist Board, Kenya Airways and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. The prize is for 4 (four) people only, and includes return international economy flights with Kenya Airways, departing from London Heathrow International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi); 3 nights accommodation for four people at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club on a full board basis, 3 nights accommodation at the Fairmont Mara Safari Club on a full board basis, and one night at Fairmont The Norfolk on a half board basis; Prize includes park fees, safari drives and ground transportation to and from the hotels within the set itinerary.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize. All prizes are subject to availability. The flights are valid for 12 (twelve) months from the date of notification. Flights must be booked at least four (4) weeks within the notification date and within four (4) weeks of date of travel. Black-out dates apply and include, UK school holidays and peak periods (Christmas, Easter, July and August). The flight tickets are non-negotiable, and under no circumstances are permitted to be upgraded. The promoter and all prize partners included in the competition, to take no responsibility for any inconvenience or disappointment caused or suffered by the prize winner/s or their guests/s due to the unavailability of flight seats, accommodation or any other components to the prize. This includes matching availability of flights and accommodation. All prize travel will also be subject to Kenya Airways’ and prize partner’s general terms and conditions. Airpoints cannot be accrued on prize air travel. The winner and their travel companions are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas where applicable. The travellers must travel together. If the travellers are unable to travel in accordance with the above or unavailable date restrictions, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
The prize does not include Airline taxes. Travel insurance is not included in the prize, with all prize winners responsible for arranging their own travel insurance. All prize winners must ensure they hold valid travel insurance to cover them (and everyone in their party) for the entire duration of the prize trip, and this must be both fully comprehensive and organised pre-departure. All winners must hold a valid in-date passport and visa for travel to Kenya (to be pre-arranged and at cost to the winners). The prize does not include any additional meals, gratuities, activities and personal expenses such as travel costs, including getting to/from airports (unless otherwise specified). Vaccination fees are also not included in the prize. Additionally, this prize does not include Marine and National Park fees (other than those specified). Prizes must be booked by December 7th 2011. Flights may also fly (both outbound and inbound) via other destinations. Additional airline terms and conditions apply.
All winners will need to respond within 14 days to accept the prize, or another individual will be randomly chosen in their place. Attempts will be made to notify the winner (and runners-up) by the email provided at the time of entry. If the promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner (within the 14 day time period of first notification), then the prize is forfeited and further draw(s) will be conducted (as detailed). Each prize winner must travel together with their companion, with the below prize offerings based on twin share.
Other Prizes
- There are 10 runners-up prizes of one case (24 bottles) per prize winner of Tusker Lager, Kenya’s number 1 lager. Delivery only to one UK address per winner (please drink responsibly).
Additional:
The promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by the prize winner/s or their guest/s in entering the draw or accepting the prize. The entries will be judged by an independent judge. The judge's decision is final, and should the prize winner be unable to accept the prize (for whatever reason), the judge will then redraw the entries and an alternative winner will be selected and notified. Successful entries will have 14 days from notification of winning the prize to state their acceptance of the prize. If nothing is heard back within the 14 days period, then new entries will be drawn and offered the prize. All competition data will subsequently be pooled at the end of the promotion, with a winner selected from the combined data files. By entering this competition you agree to allow future communications from the Kenya Tourist Board, Kenya Airways, Lastminute.com, Tusker Lager (East African Breweries Limited) and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. You may however unsubscribe at any time from an individual partner's communications.
